Research Project:

Genomic analysis of metastatic lung cancer patients with exceptional response to chemotherapy

Summary:

Dr. Lam is studying a special group of patients with metastatic lung cancer who have responded exceptionally well to chemotherapy. By performing comprehensive DNA and RNA analyses, the team aims to show that there are important mutational differences between metastatic and non-advanced disease and that these exceptional responders have mutations in DNA repair pathways that enhance their susceptibility to standard chemotherapy agents.
