Ionizing Radiation Kills Lung Cancer Cells Through Rna-Dependent Activation of Interferons
Summary:
Dr. Weichselbaum will investigate the RLR-dependent mechanism of IR-response and IFN production in lung cancer cells. Achievement of this goal will reveal a new, yet uncharacterized pathway of lung cancer cell response to genotoxic stress and will identify novel therapeutic targets for innovative treatment strategies.
